What does it look like to work with me?

Our Plan of Action

Consultation

We will schedule a 45 minute phone or video call where we will determine if we can make a great birth team. From here we will work together to establish your custom birth plan and schedule our prenatal visits. We will also discuss any additional services you may benefit from.

01

Booking

If you decide to hire me as your Doula, you must complete and return the contract as soon as possible, either by email or in person. The Retainer Fee is payable after you have signed and returned the contract. The non-refundable retainer charge equals 50% of the total price and is necessary to secure your due date on my calendar. Along with the signed contract, a payment receipt for the retainer must be submitted. In the unfortunate event of a pregnancy loss, clients will get a $400 refund (not to include stillbirth).

02

Our Prenatal Sessions

Our visits are always intended to deepen our connection between us, establish trust, and build rapport. We accomplish this through active listening and effective communication skills. I will start each meeting with a short check-in to see your progress, how are you feeling and see if you have any questions or worries coming up. We will discuss many pregnancy and birth related topics, talk about exercises and design a custom birth plan that meets your needs and expectations.

03

Birth

From the moment you call I will support you and your partner during your labor experience. I will ask you a few questions to determine if it is time to go to the hospital or if I can support you at home until the right time comes. At the hospital I will be present at all times, supporting you with techniques to ease pain, help you understand what is going on and support your choices. I will stay with you up to 4 hours after the birth to support your recovery and breastfeeding attempts.

04

Postpartum Support

I will visit you one more time during your hospital stay to support your breastfeeding journey and support you in the first days of being a new mom. Once back home I will visit you one final time to see how you and baby are doing. I will be able to talk about any concerns you have and just recap your labor. I will also support you with baby care, so you can take a shower or a short nap to recharge. I will be available to occupy other children, if you have them so that you may spend one on one time bonding with your new baby. I will also bring you a home cooked meal to the visit.
